You've been a great asset to the field and the team, and in the past been extremely helpful... But you also have been absent as of late, and completely refusing to get the team uniform. With that said, I am sorry to inform you that you are no longer a Devil's Brigade Member. Its nothing personal, but we can't enforce a rule for some and not for others and this really is the way it has to be.

I understand and expected the response, but I'd hoped that it'd come from Oberst, Jason, or Bob-O, being that they were the one's who brought me into the team. They were the one's I've taken road trips with, and they were the ones to convince me to join what was then Blitzkrieg. I have PM'ed Oberst expressing my gratitude for our friendship; I'd like to make clear I do not belabor this decision.

I understand that my challenges to the team structure hurts some members' manhood, but it's a principled decision I had made, and I don't regret it. I got crap for supporting Ralph Nader eight years ago, Bush four years ago, and I'm sure Snow's mom gets crap for supporting Ron Paul. At some point, all of us have gotten crap from our friends for a principled stance, but that's what makes us unique and individual.

Conversely, I do not harbor hard feelings toward the team, as I've had wonderful times with the Blitzkrieg, to Desert Rats Gurkha, to the current Devils Brigade members. I'd like the members of the team that have had a chance to hang with me to know that I've enjoyed watching you mature (I'm one of the older). No hard feelings, I'll be happy to roll with you in non-MARPAT on the field. Before Hermit pulls a SoCal and deletes all of my posts Razz

your not getting deleted it is just that you said on several occasions that you did not want to where marpat we are not deleting you from the boards it is just that your not a member of the brigade anymore. You can still post and your account will not be deleted unless major rules are broken then it is standard procedures from there.

Your still a friend in my book bro. Your not, nor is this thread getting deleted. We have very few rules on this team, and the uniform is one, but I understand your coviction, but DPM, and Tri color desert are still active duty uniforms :-p

LOL, I'm glad we're clear on the no hard feelings. It is refreshing to see a group of airsofters who can understand a difference of opinion without getting all pissy about it. Too often have we seen members of this hobby take themselves too seriously.

Blue, I've already promised Jason alcohol when he returns, and of course that invitation is extended to you as well. 21+, baby!

BSR, when I say "True Merc" I mean it more than you think. When I live in Massachusetts following my masters in Public Policy, I worked as a "Deputy Media Strategist" (fancy-pants title for "Spin Doctor") for both the Democratic and Republican campaigns at some point. I'm not proud about it, but it really came down to who paid me more. I've worked against and for Mitt Romney's gubernatorial run (He's a good man, by the way). Give me any hot button topic and I can write you talking points for both parties within five minutes. Hope you're feeling well and recovering steadily.

well this departure from the team is just that a departure from the team, not to be confused with departure from friends. we are still ur good friends and you are still and associate of the team ur just not on the team.
